Buzz Rogowski Plays Live on the Piano
Buzz Rogowski plays piano most Wednesday and Friday evenings. He loves the nostalgia of the great contemporary pop music icons such as Elton John, The Beatles, and Neil Young just to name a few.
Though Buzz is classically trained on the piano, he loves the nostalgia of the great contemporary pop music icons such as Elton John, The Beatles, and Neil Young just to name a few. “I guess I’m hooked on the great melodies of these pop composers.” He also plays some of the tunes from Broadway musicals and Movie Soundtracks that strike a chord in his heart. “There is so much great music out there I am always expanding my repertoire, though I do have my favorites. Fortunately, they are everybody else’s favorites too.” Being a composer of a variety of styles of music, though mainly in the pop jazz and Windham Hill style of contemporary instrumental music such as George Winston Buzz will always showcase a few of his Compositions throughout the evening. Most of his inspiration comes from living in the enchanting and scenic northwest for the last twenty years. Occasionally he may create a new piece spontaneously on the fly as the muse provokes him to. Pay close attention to the music as a Giant tanker floats on by, or the sunset paints a particularly colorful image over the water. Whatever the case expect the unexpected when Buzz sits at the piano. He is always playing something new and fresh from his hat.
