Fort George Brewery and Public House creates hundreds of unique beers on location. With over 50 taps, you’ll have have no shortage to choose from. What’s more, Fort George offers three different restaurants – the original Public House, an upstairs pizzeria and the Lovell taproom – all in one iconic downtown Astoria setting with Columbia River views. Come to Fort George for burgers, fish and chips or the wood-fired pizza, voted as the Best Pizza on the Coast for several years running. Fort George is known for flavorful IPAs, rich stouts and tap lists featuring a variety of styles. Taste the popular Vortex IPA, which is always on tap and can be purchased at the brewery in four-packs. Or try the rotating seasonal brew on tap like 3-Way IPA, Astoria With Love or Fresh IPA. You can also take a tour of the brewery on the weekends.
The Fort George Brewery and Public House prides itself on being local. Fort George beer is home brewed and distributed only in the Pacific Northwest with grain sourced from the Pacific Northwest and hops primarily from Washington and Oregon. Some brews even contain locally foraged spruce and grand fir tree tips. Fort George uses locally grown produce, bakes its own bread on location and sources ingredients on the pub's menu from regional purveyors.
The brewery offer many events throughout the year. Attend a Thursday Night Talk from October through May or a Sunday Night Music session. Don't forget to mark your calendar for the Festival of the Dark Arts in February, a hugely popular single-day stout event featuring more than 50 rare dark beers from all over the world and a whole city block filled with roaming entertainers, artists and musicians. Tickets go on sale in late November and sell out quickly.
