Enjoy an afternoon of low-stress drawing in the outdoors with artist, naturalist, and educator Dorota Haber-Lehigh. Explore the fundamentals of botanical drawing while learning about non-native invasive plants of the Pacific Northwest region and specifically Circle Creek. Learn how to observe various botanical features and how to represent them in a sketch or a more complete study. We will begin with loose sketching first and then work on creating a study page of one or more invasive plants. Bring your own favorite sketchbook, pencil, pen, magnifying lens and other art supplies of your choice, if you have them. Some supplies will be provided: paper, pencils, erasers, and colored pencils. No drawing experience is necessary.
This program is free, but registration is required.
