Event Description:

How is habitat influenced by geology? Take a walk with geologist Tom Horning and find out. Tom will show you how to interpret landforms by pointing out the actively eroding and sedimenting landscapes (hills and valley bottoms) found at Circle Creek. The walk will begin at the barn, lead into the memorial Sitka spruce grove, and wind onto the Legacy Loop footpath; time permitting, the group may also walk north into the woods to visit the channel of Circle Creek. No toilets on site. Please leave your dogs home. Bring water, snacks, waterproof boots or sturdy walking shoes, and dress for the day's weather.
